Colorblind: ART rEvolution

Conspiracy of Thought: Colorblind was not birthed easily. As the band crafted the music with sweat, stress and sleepless nights at Love Juice Studios, the pains of labor were also contracting in the small Platypi Design Studio. Forged in a Macintosh crucible over several months, we believe we have created our strongest vision to date.

...The working title for the project was originally "The Structures We Embrace". This is a rare glimpse at an early, but ultimately, set aside art concept. The decision was made early to move away from the reds that dominated the last few projects.

...This design was so well liked by some on the team, it is coming to a limited edition t-shirt near you. Ultimately, however, it was not the cd cover.

...This Brian Norwood photoshop of a Joanna Herr Hanks photo was the turning of the tide. The vision developed quickly from here onward.

...Print proofs of the now familiar cd booklet. You can see how the color scheme of the original concept and the iconography of the second concept were essential to the final look of the piece.

...The tray card was one of the most enjoyable pieces to compose. It features two arms locked in the universal embrace of brotherhood, descending back into eternity. ..COT Frontman Ben Stewart and Designer Brian Norwood lent their arms to the cause.

...Disk faces for independant projects are always a challenge. They are busy by design, anticipating a possible (in some cases unavoidable) case misplaced by a DJ or Industry Representative. In such climate, it's best to err on the side of information.
